The Dial switch (also called DIP switch, toggle switch, over frequency switch, address switch, pull switch, digital switch) is an address switch used for operation and control. It adopts the 0/1 binary coding principle. There are two pins at the top and bottom of the back corresponding to each key of the dial switch. When the switch is turned to the ON side, the following two pins are connected; Otherwise, it will be disconnected. These four keys are independent and not related to each other. It can be widely used in data processing, communication, remote control, anti-theft automatic alarm system, air shower room and other products requiring manual programming.


The dial switches are mostly used in the program control module to control the performance circuit of components. Therefore, dial switches are also called program switches, address switches, and the most familiar dial switches according to the industry sector.

1. Port isolation:Port isolation is to achieve two-layer isolation between messages. Different ports can be entered into different VLANs. Port isolation features can be selected to achieve isolation between ports in the same VLAN. The port isolation function provides a more secure and flexible networking solution.


2. VLAN isolation: VLAN isolation technology divides the physically formed Local Area Network (LAN) into different logical subnets according to specific strategies, isolates the data link layer broadcast messages within the logical subnets, and generates their own broadcast domains. Each logical subnet is a "virtual LAN".


3. Qos, service level for some businesses to carry out service level zoning, similar to the VIP channel of the bank, priority should be given to handling and sharing. When the network is congested, all data flows may be discarded; In order to meet users' requirements for different quality of service for different applications, the network needs to be able to allocate and schedule resources according to users' requirements, and provide different quality of service for different data streams: priority should be given to the processing of real-time and important data packets; For ordinary data packets with poor real-time performance, it provides lower processing priority and even discards them when the network is congested. It is a security mechanism of the network and a technology used to solve problems such as network delay and blocking. QoS guarantee is very important for networks with limited capacity, especially for streaming multimedia applications, such as VoIP and IPTV, because these applications often require a fixed transmission rate and are sensitive to delay.


4. Flow control:Flow control is to adjust the flow of the device interface. When this function is enabled, if the interface receives more data than the maximum sharing capacity of the interface, it will send a push frame to reduce the sending flow of the data source and ensure that the sharing does not lose packets. Flow control can effectively prevent the impact of a large amount of instantaneous data in the network on the network, and ensure the efficient and stable operation of the user network.
